The day has come to start to reduce the shop equipment to prep for moving , this is the machine that Tom Lipton owned, your favorite YouTube machinist! It hasn’t seen much use over the years due to being in storage as the shop as been expanding and floor space is a premium in the Bay Area.
The great thing about the machine is it can serve so many roles, as a lathe as a mill and a grinder, you choose what you want to use it for. Produced in Berkeley Ca the machine was the “one and done” machine of its time as described in their catalogs. Check out some of Tom’s old videos to see some of the things he has made on it including near full hemispheres and so on. If you love manual machines and have room for one more machine... well then this is your baby! It’s heavy and I will assist in putting it on a pallet and loading if you are interested in shipping.
Comes with lathe tool post, grinding speed gears, covers, r8 milling head, small 5” chuck, flat measuring table, specific K&T autometric height gauge. Ready to plug in and start cutting
I will also be selling my K&T model H horizontal which is fully tooled top to bottom with everything in the next few days, if your interested in the smallest K&T they made reach out, it will be listed with everything for 6500, machine, tooling cabinets, dividing head, vise. It’s a serious load of stuff, I have owned it for 10 years and build so many bicycles and such with it but it’s cleaning time!
