LARGE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CARVED GUTTA PERCHA MOURNING LOCKET & CHAIN NECKLACE

Description

Large Antique Victorian Carved Gutta Percha Mourning Locket and Chain, very detailed piece with a lady carved onto the front of the locket with a double layer of leaves surrounding her head, beautifully carved surround suspends the locket, the chain measures approx. 28" in length, this a mottled brown and black in color
Inside of locket has scratches and some tiny holes, three of the holes have tiny metal casings inside and hold the woman's face on the front of the locket, one hole I think was made by someone testing what this was made of but I'm not sure, none of this shows on the front side, just inside the locket, the little metal prong that holds the locket closed, needs adjustment to make it hold better but I will leave that up to the new owner, no damage or chipping to chain or locket on the outside
